IT'S OK* WORLD FESTIVAL
It's OK* World is an annual festival centering Black artists and audiences, rooted in care, creative expression, and Black joy. Threading music, film, and late-night sets, it's built to expand how audiences discover sound. Presented each summer at Trillium Park as part of Ontario Place's SummerSeries, it draws a citywide crowd on roughly a month's runway. What began through my work with client Yaya Bey has become a three-year engagement leading the festival's publicity, promoting lineups including Kadhja Bonet, Gena (Liv.e & Karriem Riggins), Rayana Jay, and Clairmont the Second, with coverage in The Globe & Mail, Exclaim!, and CBC.
